HOW TO BECOME A KNIGHT OF COLUMBUS

The process to become a Knight is very straight forward. First you must be a male, baptized, practicing member of the catholic faith. In prior years, the actual procedure involved a secret exemplification process for each of the first three degrees. However, that has now been stream-lined into an online procedure that can be done conveniently from home. The training is no longer a secret process and is open for family and friends to watch. The steps in the online procedure are out-lined below. There is also the possibility of completing each of the first three degrees in an exemplification that is conducted by a team of knights that are proficient in the training required. Usually, these exemplifications will be open to knights from multiple councils that will come together for the event. As always, if you have any questions about joining our council, please contact any Knight and they will provide you with the information you need. Also, council 6884 hosts periodic social events that are open to prospective members so they can get a feel for who we are and what we do. Becoming a Knight is a great way to strengthen your faith, to be of service to your community and your parish, and to build new friendships with brother knights.
